For many years, we bred and showed Rottweilers. We sold quite a few puppies to people who seemed pretty happy with them. We tried to breed dogs with good conformation and excellant temperaments. Then we slowed down, and didn't have any puppies for quite a few years. And our "puppy people" started losing their older dogs, and calling for replacement puppies. We only had Sophie Sharp, who was four years old, and had not been shown or had puppies. So we took her to a few shows and remembered why we sent our dogs to show with handlers....we HATE dog shows! Her father, Ch Nighthawks Come Hell or Hiwater, won Best of Breed in 2000 at the Westminster Dog Show. So we matched her up with Ch Groths Shodon von Shelkon, whose father Ch Shelkon's A Cool Java Blend, CD, won Best of Breed at Westminster in 2003! The resulting puppies were fabulous. Sophie and Shodon are very similar in type, with square heads, good earsets, good toplines and nice dark colors.
Their first litter was born in Oct 2005, five puppies three girls and two boys, who have long since gone to new homes. The second and probably last litter, was born in May 2006. The puppies are cute as they can be, very uniform litter, and already making people very happy.
