Lyra......(Anton 343 x Abe 346x Falke)...Our beautiful girl is four years old! She has gone to Southern California for inspection conditioning, and driving training. She will be at Sunshine Friesians, with Tony Aldana and Sonja Zinke for the summer, and will most likely go to Pomona for her Inspection. Thanks Marc and Erin for giving her a ride!

Wendy Schleich (Abe 346 x Falke) was our first Friesian mare. She came to us with her baby daughter Lyra, in tow. She has the nicest easy going personality. She consistently produces first and second premium foals. We expect Tyra TCF this year to be one of them. Her colt last year, Sjearp TCF ( x Wander 352) was a first premium Champion colt at his Inspection. Lyra, her first foal, (X Anton 343) was a second Premium at her inspection and is in conditioning training now for this years Inspections. She is the sweetest, smartest filly we have ever been around. She would rather be with people than eat! Tyra TCF, (X Anton 343) born 5/26/6 is a little clone of her big sister. She is pretty, athletic, graceful and full of herself. She floats along with graceful Friesian gaits, and is a delight to watch. Wendy and Tyra TCF
Next came Brechtsje fan de lege Walden, star mare Gradus x Nammen. She was imported here in the summer of 2004 with her colt, Maradona at her side, and bred back to Andries 415. When we first went to see her at UC Davis, we were dazzled by her presence, and won over by her sweet nature. She loves being groomed, and bathed, and is a wonderful mother, often letting any available foal nurse. She does not seem to mind at all. Her colt Maradona, spent his first year down at Sheila's learning manners from Sequoia, and has recently moved to Modesto with Sjearp, to live a life of ease with Rick and Lisa! Her filly from 2005 Reina, TCF, is a long legged beauty, with her sire and dam's excellant temperament. Reina was Champion Filly, Second Premium at her inspection ..she and Bretta made us very proud. She is living at One Tree Hill Friesians in Apple Valley , CA. She is trying to behave. :-) Brechtsje and Reina TCF at 2005 Inspection! Good Job Girls!
This years foal is an Anton 343 colt, Tye TCF born 5.23.6, and what a cutie! Our first Anton 343 foal of the year, we are very happy with his lovely conformation and easy movement. Once again, Bretta has outdone herself.
Then came Sebeline, Ster. Her breeding is Sjaard 320 x Jacob. What a knockout! Very correct, and very black, she has spectacular foals. Her 2002 filly Inga, is the Grand Champion Star Mare of the Pomona Inspection in 2005. Inga is owned by Marc & Erin DeLio, One Tree Hill Friesians, of Apple Valley CA. She was also the high point Friesian at the IFSHA Grand Nationals in 2006 at Las Vegas,NV. Inga will be in training for Crown Mare, and then Model as she gets old enough. She has had a lovely Wander filly for 2007. Sebeline's foal this year is an Anton 343 colt, Tristan TCF. Born 6/26/6 he is a beautiful example of Anton x Sjaard. We have every expectation that he will be as handsome as Inga is beautiful.

Sebelines foal in 2005, Sasse TCF (Feike 395 x Sjaard) is growing into a very handsome man. His Sire Feike 395 is doing high level dressage now and listed in the rankings of USDA. Sasse is here, in the hormone pasture. He still misses his buddy Sjearp! |

And then came Fumada van de Katanzahoeve, Folkert 353 x Jochem, star mare. She came to us 10 months pregnant, and we hoped to just get her out of quarantine before the baby was born! Uma TCF, born 4.21.6 is a real super star prospect! Tall and leggy, she is personality plus and very curious, friendly and ready to learn. Her sire is Lolke 371, in Holland and does not ship frozen, so the only way to duplicate this breeding is to import it.
