The much anticipated delivery of Bretschje's foal happened 7/17/7...sounds like an auspicous date, eh!? After making us think she would foal way too early, necessitating much earlier nightly confinements, she finally foaled on day 327. She had a text book delivery and Willem TCF arrived at 10:15 pm. Everyone is fine and healthy, Willem is very tall, very nice head and very silvery fawny colored....! He should be very black when grown... He is Wander x Gradus x Nammen. Looks to be a very nice combo...
Sebeline surprised us again early this year by foaling the evening of June 8, 2007. We had spent the day at the Horse Expo in Sacramento, came home to feed and soak Fumada's foot, and ended up carrying a wet dirty foal to the foaling stall. The baby, Ziva TCF, is a great surprise because she was expected to be a he. She is a full sister to the famous Inga, high IBOP, always first premium Inga. She is quite spunky and already trying to boss anyone her size around. Ziva is a beautiful filly, lots of presence and is now racing around her mom, bucking and practicing her predator-demolishing high kicks.
Ziva is doing very well, outside with her mom, Sebeline, in the new playpen. Next week she will go into one of the pastures with mom, probably next door to her brother, Sasse.
